The breezy conditions to continue into work week

Weather Blog

The breezy conditions look to linger around for a while.

That is due to a strong high pressure system north of the islands that is fueling the trade winds.

Winds look to tune down just a bit by the end of the work week into the new weekend.

In term of rain, the current weakening cold front lingers over the eastern end of the state tonight into tomorrow, then is expected to diminish by Sunday night.

With the strong winds, the windward and mauka areas of the island could continue to see showers due to moisture being brought with from the northeast.

With the strong winds, some showers could spill over to the central and leeward areas.

We have high ocean conditions.  High Surf Warnings are posted for north and west facing shores.

These are life threatening conditions, so only professionals should enter these shores.

Family, children and inexperienced should jump in the south shores.

High Surf Advisory for east facing shores.
