Passing showers expected for today, with a flash flood watch for Kauai

Weather

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A trough of low pressure west of the islands will maintain a unsettled weather pattern over Kauai County through at least Thursday night, while a mainly east- southeast wind flow brings in a few showers into the windward and mountain areas of the remaining islands.

As the trough weakens after Wednesday night, moderate to locally strong stable trade winds will ease in and linger through early next week.
