We’re keeping an eye on the Kona Coast, just in case heavy rains return Wednesday afternoon

Weather Blog

We’re keeping a close eye on the Kona Coast this afternoon, where heavy rain has popped up and triggered flood advisories the last several days.

Showers are popping up near Kona this afternoon but as of 2:30p nothing heavy has materialized.  That being said, there is still the possibility for heavy showers this afternoon.

As for Hurricane Michael, the center of the system is now in Georgia.  Hurricane Michael’s winds are around 90 mph and is expected to weaken into a tropical storm tonight.
