HONOLULU (KHON2) — The trade winds are returning throughout the day on Friday. This weekend, they will become quite breezy as strong high-pressure develops far to the northwest of the islands. Winds could peek at 30 mph starting Sunday through next Thursday. Also next week, an approaching frontal system could bring increased rainfall coverage to various parts of the island chain, with Kauai having the highest chance for enhanced showers.
