Trade winds weaken a bit over weekend

Weather Blog

HONOLULU (KHON2) – High pressure to the north will keep trade winds blowing through the coming week, but the breezy trades will subside a bit through the weekend.

The trades will focus showers over mainly windward areas.

These showers will be most active during the night and morning hours.

Daytime heating will produce clouds and showers over the lee slopes of the Big Island during the afternoons and evenings.
