Trades continue to move through the islands into at least next week. Trades may weaken down to 10-15 mph for the weekend, which may allow the vog to spread to more areas of the Big Island.
In terms of showers, most shower activity will remain windward through the weekend. The most active showers are expected to fall during the overnight and early morning hours.
In the East Pacific, Tropical Storm Emilia is over open water and another system may form in the coming days. Both are expected to stay over open water. We’ll keep you posted on their development over the next several days.
