Trade winds and showers to increase slightly through early next week

Weather Blog

HONOLULU (KHON2) — High pressure far northeast of the islands, with a ridge to the north, will maintain a trade wind flow over the islands through the weekend. Satellite shows clouds moving towards the islands from the northeast in this trade wind flow. This flow will focus clouds and showers over the windward and mountain areas, although the moderate to breezy trades will carry some of the showers to central and leeward areas from time to time.
