Passing windward showers, big surf building for north and west facing shores Tuesday

An uptick in windward showers is forecast Tuesday for the morning hours for Kauai and Oahu.

There are some light northeasterly winds coming through the state this morning, and they will continue to lower throughout the day. 

It is 73 degrees in Honolulu with areas across the state are waking up in the 60’s. 

We’ll continue to see sunshine today with a dry and stable atmosphere. Mostly sunny skies for leeward and partly to mostly sunny skies for windward sections. 

Surf along north facing shores will rise to 10 to 14 feet, with occasional higher sets this afternoon. Surf will continue at 10 to 14 feet with occasional higher sets on Wednesday.

Surf along west facing shores will be rising to 6 to 10 feet with occasional higher sets this afternoon. Surf will continue at 6 to 10 feet with occasional higher sets on Wednesday.
