No tsunami for Hawaii after 6.8 magnitude earthquake near Fiji

EWA BEACH, Hawaii (KHON2) — The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center reports there’s no tsunami threat to Hawaii after 6.8 magnitude earthquake near Fiji.

It happened around 12:13 p.m. Hawaii time on Friday, May 21, 2021. That is 10:13 a.m. Fiji time on Saturday, May 22.

According to all available data the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says there’s no tsunami threat from this earthquake.
