Light and variable winds to take over late Wednesday, and a wet Friday ahead

A high far northeast of the state will remain nearly stationary and weaken.  Trade winds will be replaced with light and variable winds on Wednesday night as a cold front approaches the islands.

A front far northwest of the islands will move southeast, reaching Kauai Saturday night and pushing south of the Big Island on Sunday. A new high will build north of the area behind the front, returning trade winds to the islands.

For the Bruno Mars concerts, no heavy rain is expected.  Temperatures may feel a bit chilly for Hawaii standards on Saturday and Sunday.
