A low pressure system continues to impact our weather Wednesday.
The system is directly north of Kauai County and continues to push to the east. As the system continues to move east, it’s dragging over a trough over the state.
The moisture associated with the trough is lingering just off of Kauai. Heavy rainfall is still expected due to the trough resulting in a flash flood watch issued for Kauai County through the afternoon.
Grab an umbrella, rainfall are expected to increase going into the afternoon hours especially on Oahu. A high chance of rain is also forecast for Thursday.
Southerly winds will continue to bring muggy and humid weather to the entire state through Thursday.
Trade winds to return late Thursday into Friday.
