Drier weather and trade winds return to the islands

Weather Blog

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A trade wind regime will persist through the first half of next week as a broad area of high pressure stays to the northeast of the islands. Showers riding in with the trade winds will favor the windward and mountain areas of most islands. Lee areas will be mainly dry, except for a couple of afternoon and evening showers on the lee side of the Big Island. High clouds, dense at time, will be present across island skies over the weekend.
