A wet start to the weekend as a weakening cold front sweeps through the islands

Weather Blog

A weakening cold front is moving across the islands Friday afternoon.  Showers may be heavy at times through Saturday.

A brief period of northerly winds will bring drier and cooler air into the western half of the state this weekend in the wake of the front.

Showers will linger over the windward Big Island Sunday into the first half of next week.

Breezy trade winds return next week with windward and mauka showers.
