An area of high pressure to the north of Hawaii will keep trades in place through the weekend.
Today’s winds are going to be just slightly weaker compared to the last couple of days, as a cold front passes far to the north of the state.
The trade winds won’t be easing off too long though; it is forecast to be very windy over the weekend.
A less stable airmass is expected this afternoon as a trough continues to near the state
This will enhance the remnant local moisture around the smaller islands, leading to greater coverage and intensity of showers.
There is also a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon for Hawaii Island today.
Overall, expect a fairly typical trade wind weather with more passing low level clouds and showers.
