It’s a parent’s worst nightmare, a one-year-old boy died earlier this week after being found in a pond at Kapiolani Park.
Even the most shallow waters pose dangers for infants and toddlers. According to the CDC, drowning is the number one cause of accidental death among children 1 to 4.

So at what age should you teach your keiki how to stay afloat in the water?
