HHSAA reacts to DOE COVID-19 vaccine mandate for student-athletes

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Hawaii high school football season was supposed to kick off on Friday, but the Department of Education has delayed the fall sports season due to COVID-19 vaccine requirements for student-athletes. Chris Chun, Executive Director of the Hawaii High School Athletic Association, joined Wake Up 2day to discuss scheduling future tournaments and reaction to the new requirements.
