HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Hawaii Police Department has closed mile marker 17 of Daniel K. Inouye Highway in Hilo, after a single-car collision.

The accident happened around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use Hawaii Belt Road as an alternate routes.
