HONOLULU (KHON2) — A brush fire that occurred in South Kona has closed Route 11 near the 98-mile marker in Pahoehoe.
The Hawaii Police Department said that fire crews are on the scene.

Drivers are asked to slow down when they approach the area and to use alternate routes.
