Four teams vying for championship gold took the field at Waipi’o Peninsula Soccer Park on Saturday.

In Division I, Punahou emerged victorious over Iolani with Junior Midfielder Max Moonier scoring the only goal of the contest. This brought Punahou their 21st state title as they finish 12-1-2 and on top of Division I.

Iolani ends the season with a 13-3-1 record but will look to make another run for their ninth state title next season as two of their top five scorers will return.

The Division II title was also decided with a score of 1-0 as Kapaa defeated Saint Louis. Junior Midfielder Laa Gonsalves scored the lone goal to capture Kapaa’s first state championship since 2013.

Saint Louis finishes the season 10-3-2 and will look to replace senior Skylar Goo next season who lead all of Division II in goals scored. Kapaa will finish the season at 12-1-1 and as the very best Division II has to offer.
