Hawaii falls in low-scoring contest with Oregon

First inning struggles was enough to land Dylan Thomas the loss in his second college start.

The Rainbow Warrior baseball team fell to Oregon 3-1 at Les Murakami Stadium on Friday night. 

Ethan Lopez drove in the lone Hawaii run on a hard single up the middle in the bottom of the fourth inning to score Alex Baeza who had doubled. The Lopez’s batting average is up to .254, while Baeza is hitting .320.

Thomas gave up two runs in the first inning and settled in after that. He pitched six innings on 98 pitches. He finished with four hits allowed and four walks. Thomas also had four strikeouts. His ERA is down to 1.80.

Hawaii plays Oregon on Saturday again at 6:35pm.
