Baldwin graduate Anthony Hoopii-Tuionetoa was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 30th round of the MLB Draft on Wednesday.
The right-handed pitcher from Wailuku went 895th overall. It was his second time being drafted, going to the Minnesota Twins in the 16th round last year.
Hoopii-Tuionetoa recently completed his freshman year at Pierce College in Washington where he went 4-1 over 36 innings pitched. He had an ERA of 3.75 and racked up 41 strikeouts.
