Mountain West Conference play has arrived for both the University of Hawaii football team and UNLV, who will play each other at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders.
Hawaii and its well-traveled fans are hoping for revenge from the last time the two teams met in Vegas, a disappointing loss for the ‘Bows that turned out to be one of the first steps in the end of the Todd Graham era.

UNLV 44, Hawaii 20, Final
1:09: UNLV runs out the clock on its way to a 44-20 victory.
1:04: Brayden Schager is INTERCEPTED in the end zone by Quentin Moten with 1:27 left.
12:55: TOUCHDOWN REBELS. That’ll do it. The Rebels take a 44-20 lead on Donavyn Lester’s 22-yard score with 5:37 left.
12:52: Hawaii faces fourth-and-long from its own red zone and elects to punt. UNLV gets the ball back from midfield with 5:57 left.
12:47: A fair catch gives UH the ball on its own 25.
12:46: TOUCHDOWN UNLV. The Rebels execute their four minute offense to perfection, ending with a 3-yard touchdown pass from Maiava to Jacob De Jesus, who flashes a shaka. UNLV leads 37-20 with 8:18 left.
12:37: UNLV starts from its own 20 after a pooch kick by Hawaii leads to a minimal return.
12:34: TOUCHDOWN RAINBOW WARRIORS. Brayden Schager throws a 48-yard dime to Alex Perry with 12:47 remaining. Hawaii trails 30-20.
12:28: Pizano barely makes a 48-yard field goal that bounces off the goal post to give UNLV a 30-13 lead with 14:29 left. That may have put the game out of reach for UH.
FOURTH QUARTER
12:15: UNLV to begin from its own 35 after the touchback.
12:13: Hawaii cuts the UNLV lead to 27-13 on Matthew Shipley’s 33-yard field goal with 5:07 left in the third quarter.
12:09: Hawaii will start from its own 19 after Jordan Johnson’s return on the ensuing kickoff.
12:06 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN REBELS. A backbreaking sequence for UH as UNLV converts a fourth down and Courtney Reese scores on a 21-yard rushing touchdown on the next play. UNLV takes a 27-10 lead with 8:17 left in the third quarter.
11:59: UNLV will begin from its own 25 after a touchback on the ensuing kickoff.
11:58: TOUCHDOWN HAWAII. Some trickery for UH, ending with a 51-yard pass from Brayden Schager to a wide open Steven McBride. Hawaii cuts the lead to 20-10 with 11:45 left in the third quarter.
11:55: Hawaii forces a three-and-out and punt and will begin from its own 49 with 11:53 left in the third quarter.
11:51: Hawaii goes three-and-out and punts to the UNLV 23 with 13:11 left in the third quarter.
11:49: Hawaii will begin from its own 31 after Cam Stone’s second half kickoff return.
THIRD QUARTER
11:28: Hawaii can’t produce points to end the half and heads into the break with a 20-3 deficit. UH will receive the second half kickoff.
11:24: Hawaii begins from its own 25 after a touchback on the kickoff.
11:23: TOUCHDOWN UNLV. Courtney Reese takes an outside handoff for a 4-yard touchdown. UNLV leads 20-3 with 45 seconds left in the first half.
11:19: Hawaii FUMBLES at its own 30, which is recovered by UNLV with 2:01 left.
11:13: Hawaii will begin from its own 25. Any type of score for the Rainbow Warriors that uses up some clock would be big, as UH will also receive the second half kickoff.
11:11: UNLV takes a 13-3 lead on a 27-yard field goal from Pizano with 4:56 left in the first half.
11:01: UNLV will begin from its own 25 after another touchback.
10:58: Hawaii’s best drive of the day on offense stalls at the UNLV 16 and ends with a 33-yard Matthew Shipley field goal to trim the deficit to 10-3 with 12 minutes left in the first half.
10:52: UH begins from its own 25 after a touchback on the ensuing kickoff.
10:50: UNLV stretches its lead to 10-0 on a 51-yard field goal by Jose Pizano with 13:31 left in the second quarter.
10:46: Hawaii doesn’t convert after Brayden Schager receives little to no protection on a zero blitz.
SECOND QUARTER
10:43: The first quarter ends with Hawaii facing a fourth-and-3 from its own 38. Looks like the ‘Bows will go for it.
10:40: Hawaii rolls the dice, going for it on fourth-and-1 from its own 40 and converting with Dalen Morris.
10:34: Hawaii’s defense forces a crucial three-and-out and punt, which is caught at the Hawaii 9 with 6:15 left in the first quarter.
10:30: Hawaii’s offensive line continues to struggle as Brayden Schager is sacked twice on a three-and-out. UNLV starts from its own 43 after Hawaii punts from its own end zone.
10:25: Hawaii will begin from its own 25 after a touchback on the enduing kickoff.
10:23: TOUCHDOWN UNLV. Former Kaimuki quarterback Jayden Maiava finds a wide open Vincent Davis for a 16-yard touchdown on a checkdown. Hawaii trails 7-0 with 9:04 left in the first quarter.
10:17: Hawaii picks up a first down but can’t get another, punting to the UNLV 34 with 11:33 remaining in the first quarter.
10:12: The Hawaii defense forces a three-and-out and punt and will begin from its own 34 with 14:18 left in the first quarter.
