This week, Johnny visits Kapolei head coach Darren Hernandez.
Hernandez says his team is blessed to be in the open division of the state tournament. The team has the week off which will help them recover a bit after a long season.
Hernandez has been the only head football coach at Kapolei, but had also been involved in the Hawaii Islanders arena football team. Hernandez says he’d like to see that league return to Hawaii.
