Former Hawaii starting quarterback and Saint Louis alumnus Chevan Cordeiro announced on social media on Saturday night that he is staying in the Mountain West Conference and committing to San Jose State.

Cordeiro, the 2017 Cover2 Marcus Mariota Player of the Year, joined the Rainbow Warriors in 2018 and has started games every year for the ‘Bows.

Cordeiro has two years of eligibility remaining.

The Rainbow Warriors and Spartans are both members of the Mountain West conference as play each other annually as members of the West Division.
