“I love it here,” Brooke Henderson said before the start of the Lotte Championship. She probably loves it even more now.
On a course with which she’s comfortable, 21 year old Henderson successfully defended her title and won the Lotte Championship for the second consecutive year.
With her eighth career win Henderson is now tied for most wins all-time of any Canadian professional golfer, male or female.
Henderson finished at -16, three shots ahead of Minjee Lee and Eun Hee Ji in second place.
Managing the wind was key for Henderson throughout the tournament and especially Friday and Saturday when it was strongest. Her consistent approach helped her only card five bogeys over four rounds.
American Nelly Korda, who entered the day tied for the lead with Henderson found the water twice on the 18th hole and finished in eighth place at -9.
