Hawaii’s voyaging canoe Hokulea is in Rhode Island Sunday night, after sailing through conditions that make it very difficult to see where you’re going.
Hokulea sailed through thick fog as she was making her way in the early morning from Salem, Massachusetts, to Buzzards Bay.
The crew had little to no visibility of the horizon for a few hours, but makes for a gorgeous sight.
By 10 a.m., the fog lifted and Hokulea made it to the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
The crew continues on to New York before another crew change.
