A 40-year-old woman was critically injured in a pedestrian crash in Honolulu Monday night.
It happened at around 11:35 p.m. at the intersection of Kaheka and Kanunu streets.
According to police, a driver was turning onto Kanunu Street from Kaheka Street when he hit the woman.
Police say she was in a marked crosswalk as the pedestrian signal flashed red. She was hospitalized in critical condition.
Police say it was raining intermittently at the time, and speed, drugs, and alcohol do not appear to be contributing factors in the crash.
Kanunu Street was closed from Amana Street to Kaheka Street as police investigated and cleared the scene.
