Waimanalo mansion used in Magnum P.I. TV show to be demolished

News

The iconic house in Waimanalo used in the original Magnum P.I. series will soon be no more.

Permits have been issued to demolish the home now owned by President Obama’s friend Marty Nesbitt.

The 8,500 square foot home was purchased three years ago at a price of $8.7 million.

According to the Department of Planning and Permitting website, the existing slabs and foundations will remain, but no word yet on what will be built on them.

The original main house was built in 1933 by the family of former Hawaii State Representative Eve Anderson.
