TSA’s new CT scanners will allow travelers to leave electronics in bag

News

Taking your laptop out of your carry-on luggage could be a thing of the past with new TSA scanners.

The Transportation Security Administration is buying 300 computer tomography systems.

CT scanning can provide 3D images that the current x-ray scanners are not capable of.

Officials say that means you can leave your electronics in your bag.

The new scanners are expected to roll out this summer and into next year.
