The latest on Monday’s brush fires in Waipahu and Waipio

The Honolulu Fire Department responded to a brush fire in Waipahu, on Farrington Highway and Fort Weaver Road, near Seafood City. The call came in at 3:11 p.m. Four units with 13 personnel responded and arrived at 3:14. 

Several fire units also responded to a brush fire at Central Oahu Regional Park at 3:47 p.m. Twelve fire units arrived at 3:58 p.m. The fire is beyond the baseball field. As of As of 4:58 p.m the fire has been 100 percent contained, 12 acres were burned.
