A federal jury ruled against a woman who sued the state and the NFL for discrimination and civil rights violations.
According to the state Attorney General, Deb Ritchie went to the 2013 Pro Bowl at Aloha Stadium and had a ticket for a front row seat but stadium staff stopped her from getting to her seat because of concerns about her physical disability.
The state claims Richie was unsteady walking to her seat and “therefore a danger to herself and to others in the event of an evacuation.”
Ritchie was later seated at the wheelchair access row.
This is the second time the case has been tried. It ended in a mistrial last year.
