Sea Life Park hosts back-to-school Pokémon Go day

Pokémon Go will be taking over Sea Life Park.

On Saturday, Aug. 13, the East Oahu attraction is hosting a special back-to-school Pokémon Go event.

It will be held from 2-5:30 p.m. and feature 20-plus lures, six Pokéstops, and two Pokégyms scattered throughout the park.

“Pokemon Go is a legitimate phenomenon, and we invite residents and visitors to enjoy a safe, family-friendly environment at our park to continue their search for these wonderful characters,” said Valerie King, Sea Life Park General Manager.  “Not only will guests be able to hunt Pokemon in our beautiful park environment, but they’ll also enjoy our many world-class attractions for a fraction of the normal admission price.”

Pokémon-themed treats, like red, blue, and yellow Poképopcorn, Poképizza, and Pokéball musubi, will be available.

Admission will be $7 for all guests over two years old. Tickets can be purchased online here or by phone at 259-2500.
