Schedule of Oahu lane closures: Feb. 27-March 6

News

There will be a full closure of the H-1 Freeway westbound at the Palama Street Off-Ramp (Exit 20C) from 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday for street light repairs.

H-1 westbound motorists are advised to use either the School Street Off-Ramp (Exit 21A) or the Houghtailing Street Off-Ramp (Exit 20B) to access the Kalihi/Palama area.

All emergency vehicles and City buses will be permitted to use the ramp.

Here is the remainder of scheduled lane closures, starting Friday night:— H-1 FREEWAY —PEARL CITY TO HNL AIRPORT

9 p.m.-4:30 a.m. Sunday through Friday morning, March 6: Lane closures in the eastbound direction between the Pearlridge/Waimalu Off-Ramp (Exit 10) and the Airport Off-Ramp (Exit 16) for pavement striping installations.PEARL CITY 

8 p.m.-4 a.m. Sunday through Friday morning, March 6: Lane closures in both directions at the H-1/H-2 Merge between the Waipahu Street Overpass and the Waiawa Road Overpass for the rail project.SALT LAKE TO HNL AIRPORT

9 p.m.-12:01 a.m. Friday through Monday morning: Two right lanes in the westbound direction between the Keehi Interchange and the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Off-Ramp (Exit 15B) for airport viaduct improvements. All ramps will remain open. Speed limits will be reduced to 15 mph in order to minimize traffic induced vibrations that may lead to cracking in the newly repaired deck.WAIMALU TO WAIPAHU

9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Right lane closure in the westbound direction between the Pearl City/Waimalu Off-Ramp (Exit 10) and the H-1/H-2 Split for road widening.WAIPAHU

9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Shoulder lane closed in the eastbound direction between the Kunia/Waipahu/Ewa Off-Ramp (Exit 5) and the H-1/H-2 Interchange for utility installations.— NIMITZ HIGHWAY —SALT LAKE TO HNL AIRPORT

9 p.m.-12:01 a.m. Friday through Monday morning: Two right lanes in the westbound direction between Catlin Drive and Aolele Street as a safety precaution due to deck repairs happening above.— H-2 FREEWAY —WAIPIO

9 p.m.-4 a.m. Friday through Saturday: Two right lanes in the southbound direction between the Ka Uka Boulevard Overpass and the Waianae Off-Ramp (Exit 1B) for striping and marker installations.— H-3 FREEWAY —HALAWA

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Lane closure in the southbound direction after the Runaway Truck Ramp between the H-3 Tunnels and the H-1 Freeway for guardrail repairs.— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY —PEARL CITY

7:30 p.m.-6 a.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Lane closures in the westbound direction between Kamehameha Highway and Waiawa Road for the rail project..WAIANAE

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Lane closure in both directions between Guard Street and Lualualei Homestead Road for waterline work.— KAHEKILI HIGHWAY —AHUIMANU

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Thursday: Lane closure in the northbound direction between Ahuimanu Place and Ahaolelo Road for utility installations.— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY —KAILUA

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Lane closure in the westbound direction between Uluoa Street and Kapaa Quarry Road for guardrail repairs.WAIMANALO

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Shoulder lane closure in the northbound direction between Keolu Drive and Ulupii Street for roadside pavement installations.— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY —HALEIWA

8:30 a.m.-noon Monday: Lane closure in the northbound direction between Kawailoa Drive and Weed Circle for utility replacements.KA’A’AWA

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday: Lane closure in the northbound direction between Kina Place and Kahana Valley Road for guardrail repairs.KANEOHE

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Lane closure in the southbound direction between Halekou Road and the H-3 Freeway for utility installations.MILILANI

Friday, Feb. 27-Friday, March 6: 24-hour shoulder lane closure in the northbound direction between Lanikuhana Avenue and Kipapa Street for bus pad installations.

8:30 p.m.-4:30 a.m. Sunday through Friday, March 6: Full road closure in both directions between Ka Uka Boulevard and Lanikuhana Avenue for road reconstruction, resurfacing, and the installation of striping and markers. General traffic will be re-routed to the H-2 Freeway, but local traffic access for Kipapa Gulch residents has been coordinated to be escorted through the project site as needed. Advisory message boards have been placed near Ka Uka Boulevard and Lanikuhana Avenue with the work schedule.

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Partial closures in northbound direction between Ka Uka Boulevard and Waihau Street for fence and guardrail installations. Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays and use alternate roadways such as Kuahelani Avenue, Meheula Parkway, Lanikuhana Avenue, Ka Uka Boulevard and the H-2 Freeway.PEARL HARBOR 

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Left lane closure in the eastbound direction between Salt Lake Boulevard and Arizona Street for tree trimming.PUPUKEA

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, March 6: Lane closure in both directions between Iliohu Place and Wallace Beach Park for utility repairsWAIKELE

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Lane closures in the northbound direction at the Lumiaina Street intersection as part of the Lumiaina Street Traffic Improvements project. The Lumiaina Street Traffic Improvements project will add a dedicated left turn lane on Lumiaina Street in the eastbound direction, turning onto the northbound lanes of Kamehameha Highway towards Mililani. Traffic signals will be modified to provide a left-turn only green arrow for these lanes. Work is anticipated to be completed in June 2015.

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday and Friday, March 6: Lane closure in the southbound direction at the Lumiaina Street intersection for road maintenance.— LIKELIKE HIGHWAY —KALIHI

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Right lane closure in the northbound direction between the Wilson Tunnels and the H-3 Freeway Overpass for guardrail repairs.— NIMITZ HIGHWAY —HONOLULU 

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Lane closure in the westbound direction between Kekaulike Street and Kukahi Street for utility installations.— PALI HIGHWAY —NUUANU

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Right lane closed in both directions at the Waokanaka Street intersection for guardrail repairs.— ALA MOANA BOULEVARD —HONOLULU

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Lane closure in the eastbound direction between Queen Street and Atkinson Drive for roadside reconstruction work.

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Right lane closed in the eastbound direction between Kahanamoku Street and Kalakaua Avenue for sewage maintenance.— VINEYARD BOULEVARD —HONOLULU

8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Roving lane closures in the eastbound direction between Palama Street and the Pali Highway for striping, loop detector work and fence installations. Also roving lane closures in the westbound direction between the Vineyard Boulevard Off-Ramp (Exit 22) and Halona Street for repaving work.— LUMIAINA STREET —WAIKELE

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Lane closures in the eastbound and westbound directions at the Kamehameha Highway intersection for road reconstruction.— KAILUA ROAD —KAILUA

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 6: Right lane closure in both directions between Hamakua Drive and Uluhala Street for guardrail repairs.
