Returning trade winds to clear out vog for most areas

The trades are back thanks to high pressure establishing north of the state.

On Friday winds from the east could peak around 20 mph but this weekend it’s into the breezy level at 25 mph.  Areas affected by vog build-up will start to clear, however the Kona district and parts of Kau on Hawaii Island will likely remain voggy.

No heavy rain is expected but the windward showers will continue. Leeward areas sunny with isolated showers.

Trade winds should remain for a least a weeks time.
