Popular East Oahu French restaurant suddenly closes

News

Sad news for restaurant goers, especially in East Oahu.

Le Bistro, the French restaurant in Niu Valley Shopping Center, suddenly closed its doors last night.

The owner’s lease ran until the end of the month. The sudden closure took restaurant employees by surprise.

General manager and chef Alan Takasaki and his wife Debbie owned the restaurant for 15 years, but sold it a new owner in 2016.

The Takasakis continued to operate the popular restaurant where Alan remained the executive chef.

No word yet if anyone will move into the space and open a new restaurant.
