No tsunami threat after early earthquake

An early morning earthquake shook Kilauea on Hawaii Island with a 5.4 magnitude.  Fortunately there was no tsunami threat to the islands.

The trade winds continue to weaken into the weekend as a series of a cold fronts pass northwest of the islands.

Leeward and central parts of the islands may see afternoon showers as we have sea breezes blowing in during the day and land breezes at night.
