Murder investigation opened after man’s body found on Tantalus

Honolulu police have opened a murder investigation after a man’s body was found on Tantalus.

On Sunday afternoon, investigators say a passerby found a 22-year-old man unresponsive near a lookout point and called 911.

Emergency Medical Services pronounced the victim dead.

Suspicious injuries were later discovered on the victim’s body, leading police to reclassify the case as murder in the second degree.
