Honolulu police are investigating a crash involving a motorcycle and two vehicles.
The crash happened at 4:05p.m. Saturday afternoon on Kalanianaole Highway and Humuniki Street in Waimanalo.
Police said a 60-year-old male operator of a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling northbound on Kalanianaole Highway when he attempted to avoid a silver Toyota SUV in front of him. The motorcyclist clipped the Toyota and veered into the on-coming lane and was hit by a red Honda SUV.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital in critical condition with head injuries. Police said he was not wearing a helmet.
No other drivers or occupants of the other two vehicles were injured.
Police said speed was not a factor in the crash. They are investigating if drugs or alcohol factored into the crash on the part of the motorcyclist.
