Man sentenced for manslaughter in Waikiki stabbing

The man convicted in a deadly stabbing in Waikiki has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Karl Forster was originally charged with murder, but was found guilty of manslaughter.

Police say he repeatedly stabbed Theodore Abraham Jr. near the old archery range by Kapiolani Park in 2016.

Sources tell us Abraham and a woman were sitting at a picnic bench when Forster started yelling at the woman.

When Abraham intervened, Forster lunged toward him and stabbed him in the upper left chest area. He died at the hospital.
