A man who died Monday after being pulled from waters off Nanakuli has been identified.
The Honolulu medical examiner has identified him as Alex Isom, 21, of Waianae.
Crews received the call at around 2:30 p.m. at a beach off Mohihi Street.
According to Emergency Medical Services, Isom was unconscious when bystanders pulled him out of the water.
He was rushed to the emergency room in critical condition where he later died.
Officials say there was no lifeguard tower in the area.
