Woman robbed at gunpoint at Maui mall

HONOLULU (KHON2) - Maui police are searching for two suspects accused of robbing a woman at gunpoint at the Queen Kaahumanu Shopping Center in Kahului on Wednesday.

Police say around 12:50 p.m., a man and woman approached a 55-year-old woman on the third floor of the parking structure next to Macy's.

The man allegedly brandished a handgun and demanded the woman's purse.

The man and woman then fled down the parking structure staircase near Macy's.

The victim was not injured.

The male suspect is described as 30-40 years old, approximately 5'10" to 6'0" tall, medium to thin build with short black hair, brown eyes with a light brown complexion.

He was last seen wearing a light blue t-shirt, brown surf shorts with a yellow logo on the left front leg and slippers.

His female accomplice was described as 30-40 years old, approximately 5'8" to 5'10" tall, medium to thin build with black hair in a ponytail to the middle of her back, brown eyes with a light brown complexion.

She was last seen wearing a light blue shirt, light blue jeans and slippers.
