Road Work for the Week, Aug. 21-27

Local News

A bit of relief for Oahu drivers starting Monday as there will not be any road work during daylight hours, but expect heavier traffic for the week.

That because tens of thousands of UH college students head back to class, with nearly 20,000 at the Manoa campus alone.

To help move traffic along, the state has opened a new shoulder lane on the H-1 Freeway from Kualakai Parkway to Kunia from 5 a.m, to 9 a.m. A second zipper lane has also been added.
