A popular mainland restaurant chain is now open in the islands.
Raising Cane’s opened its first Hawaii location Tuesday on the corner of S. King and University streets.
People were eager to try it. A line had formed before the restaurant opened at 10 a.m.
The restaurant only sells chicken finger meals, which the company says is part of the appeal.
“Cane’s is so popular because we do one love right. We do one thing and we do it really well. So we do our hand-battered chicken fingers, those crinkle fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, and that Cane sauce, and people love it. It’s a fun atmosphere,” said regional marketing manager Ali Urbick.
Raising Cane’s started in Louisiana and now operates more than 400 restaurants across the country.
