Police asking for public’s help in hotel room robbery scheme

Local News

Police are looking for three suspects in connection to a hotel robbery and assault. The suspects were caught by surveillance cameras leaving the hotel.

They say the suspects attacked and robbed a man in his own hotel room. They were able to do so, because the victim had let the suspects into his room.

Police say at first, the victim only invited the woman to his room.

“It was someone that he just met and he invited this person to his hotel room,” said Chris Kim with Crimestoppers. “Shortly after, there was a knock on the door and when he opened the door, two unknown males entered and then physically assaulted him with a metal pipe and sharp object and then fled with his property.”

Kim says it looks like the robbery had been planned.

“He met this person, invited them back to his hotel room and unfortunately it appears she worked in unison with these two other people,” said Kim.

“In this day and age, we need to be very cautious about people we meet and people we bring back to our place,” said Kim.

Police say they are looking for two men and one woman, who are in their 30’s. The first male suspect is 5’10 and 145 lbs. The second male suspect is 5’5″ and 155 lbs. The third female suspect is 5’3″ and 135 lbs.
