Pokemon Detective Pikachu’s Hawaii ties

Local News

The movie Pokemon Detective Pikachu debuts this weekend.

Its director, Rob Letterman graduated from Mid Pacific Institute in 1988. He then went to USC’s film school and now calls Hollywood home.

When asked if he’s going to watch the movie this weekend Letterman said, “My kids haven’t seen it yet and that turned into me taking them and 12 friends. So all the money that I spent making a movie, I’m about to spend on movie tickets.”

Pokemon Detective Pikachu is in theaters now. It’s rated PG.
