Pasha Hawaii, Stevedores to hold second donation drive

HONOLULU (KHON2) - Pasha Hawaii is partnering with Hawaii Stevedores to host a second Kokua for Big Island donation drive to help those affected by the volcanic eruptions.

Pasha Hawaii and Hawaii Stevedores team members are asking the public for specific donations to fill and ship another 40-foot Pasha Hawaii container, plus a 20-foot container, to the Puuhonua o Puna donation site in Pahoa for distribution to local families in need.

The following supplies are requested:

  • Diapers (all sizes)
  • Baby formula (powdered)
  • Baby wipes
  • Adult diapers
  • Bath soap
  • Laundry soap
  • Toilet paper
  • Breathing masks
  • Toothbrushes/toothpaste
  • Non-perishable canned goods
  • Bottled water
  • Ziploc bags
  • Aluminum pans
  • Foil/plastic wrap
  • Paper plates (regular size)
  • Plastic forks/spoons
  • Paper towels
  • Sanitary napkins
  • Tylenol & Ibuprofen
  • Gently used clothing (clean)

"Mahalo for the overwhelming spirit of aloha by our team members, ohana, and friends in the community coming out to help our neighbors affected on the Big Island," said George Pasha, IV, The Pasha Group President and CEO. "We are asking Hawaii residents to join us and help provide these day-to-day essentials to the Puna community."

The Kokua for Big Island donation drive will be held Saturday, May 19, from 8 a.m. to noon at Pier 51A, Sand Island Parkway.
