The man accused of leading police on a chase through Windward Oahu before being shot by an officer in March appeared in court Monday.
William Andres pleded not guilty to numerous offenses, including attempted murder and assault on a police officer.
He was spotted in Waimanalo last month in what police said was a stolen car. According to investigators, when officers tried to approach him, Andres drove toward them, hitting two officers.
An officer opened fire, hitting Andres in the stomach, but he continued driving and ended up in Kaneohe where he crashed into a vehicle.
Andres remains in custody on $50,000 bail. His trial is expected to start in June.
