HONOLULU (KHON2) - Honolulu police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened at the State Capitol Monday night.
Officials say it appears to be a sheriff deputy-involved shooting.
It happened around 8:30 p.m.
Emergency Medical Services officials say a man in his 20s suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Authorities confirmed that the man died.
The deputy was identified as a man in his 30s.
EMS officials say he did not suffer injuries, but requested further medical attention.
It's not clear what led to the shooting.
