We know all too well the importance of preparing for a disaster having just dealt with hurricanes Lane and Olivia.
Emergency officials want to ensure people in big buildings also know what to do.
The Building Owners and Managers Association held a disaster preparedness event Wednesday, moderated by our own Gina Mangieri.
“They’ll need to think about things like how to evacuate a large building, how to deal with things like traffic, and also how to be a conduit for information between emergency management and their tenants,” said Richard Rapoza, Hawaii Emergency Management Agency.
Justin Cruz was also a speaker at the event and shared his knowledge of severe weather.
