HECO conducting utility work in West Oahu on Thursday

Starting on Thursday, Hawaiian Electric Company (HECO) will be doing utility work in West Oahu which could affect commuters.    

Crews will be placing two 60-foot steal poles, and relocating high voltage power lines on the H1 Freeway.

This will occur in both directions between Kualakai Parkway and Makakilo Drive. 

This project will upgrade the electric infrastructure and improve system reliability in West and Central Oahu. 

Three lanes will be closed starting at 9 p.m. Thursday night, through 3:30 a.m. Friday morning.
